2007 the Nairobi Arboretum
is
a hundred years old!
FONA and Forestry Department take this opportunity to raise the
public awareness of the Arboretum as a place of recreation and education
on environmental protection and nature conservation. The centenary
celebrations are meant to get more public support and extra funds
for renovating and upgrading the Arboretum – an investment
in the next 100 years!

24th of February: Wind in the trees
Concert with Kenya’s finest youngest artists
Tree Relay Run
Teams of 4 runners (at least one of them female) do a relay run
in the Arboretum. Prizes for the fastest and for the most original
team
