Herpetofauna Working Group |
The
term herpetofauna refers to reptiles (snakes, lizards, tortoises,
turtles and crocodiles) and amphibians (caecilians, toads and
frogs). Kenya Herpetofauna Working Group members are volunteers
who have special interest in reptiles and amphibians. The group
promotes public awareness on the conservation and importance of
reptiles and amphibians in the environment. Membership is free
and open to individuals as well as groups e.g. schools, colleges

Aims
1. To enhance public education and awareness on reptiles and amphibians
2. Initiate and maintain a monitoring programme for amphibians
and reptiles at with the support of Site Support Groups in Kenya.
